Welcome to the primatology lab!

I am a primate behavioral ecologist and my research focuses on male reproductive strategies, patterns of dispersal, and the hormonal correlates of male dominance rank and life history status. I have several different species of primates throughout my career, but the bulk of my research has focused on a population of white-faced capuchin monkeys (Cebus imitator) in the Santa Rosa Sector of the Área de Conservación Guanacaste in Costa Rica. This collaborative research makes use of long-term demographic, life history, behavioral, and biological data (including microsatellites, major histocompatibility genes, and hormones).
